Why Education

Every ocean steward starts as a curious kid

You protect what you love, and you love what you understand. That is why education sits at the heart of Art of the Seas. We make marine science hands-on and joyful, so children do not just learn about the ocean, they feel responsible for it. Our programs reach students where they are, in the classroom, on the water, and through art they can hold in their hands.

Flagship Project

The Ocean Coloring Book

Art is how a child first meets the ocean. Our educational coloring book introduces coral, sponges, and the creatures of the reef through pages kids color, keep, and learn from. Sponsor funded and distributed to Florida Keys schools, it is often a student’s very first lesson in why the ocean is worth protecting.
